SEMI宣布，欧洲地区最大的半导体、光伏产业展会SEMICON Europa 2009将于2009年10月6日至8日在德国Dresden举行。

SEMICON Europa 2009 to be Held in Dresden

BRUSSELS, Belgium – August 25, 2008 – SEMI today announced that SEMICON Europa 2009, the region's largest exposition dedicated to the semiconductor, microelectronics and photovoltaic supply chains, will be held October 6-8, 2009 at the Dresden Messe in Dresden, Germany.

"In response to the changing semiconductor manufacturing environment; encouragement from members, exhibitors and attendees; and support from the State of Saxony and City of Dresden, SEMI is pleased to host SEMICON closer to one of the leading technology and manufacturing clusters in Europe," said Heinz Kundert, present of SEMI Europe. "This venue will foster more efficient industry supply chain interaction and strengthen dialogue between the various stakeholders about competitiveness and the advancement of the European semiconductor industry."

Dresden has become a vital center for semiconductor, photovoltaic and other high technology industries in Europe. Three of Europe's largest semiconductor manufacturers, 60 percent of European IC output and approximately 80 percent of Germany’s photovoltaic production is located within 150 km of Dresden. In addition, the concentration of research institutions, universities and over1200 equipment and materials companies, support Dresden as a center of excellence for European high tech manufacturing.

Now in its 32nd year, SEMICON Europa is the largest regional exhibition devoted to microelectronics and PV manufacturing. SEMICON Europa 2008, with an approximately 600 exhibitors and 12,000 attendees, will be held in Stuttgart, Germany on October 7-9, 2008.
